“In future this may bring out devices and apparatus combining medical innovation and musical creativity that helps in health care,” said director Mediscans Dr S Suresh.
“Music has always had a role in our healing and cultural rituals. Music improves our health and wellbeing by decreasing anxiety, levels of cortisol and increasing immunoglobulin,” he added.
Dr Suresh said, “The background of these previous studies and researches and seeing their physiological and emotional effects of music in the brain inspired us to think and consider that music may improve radiological imaging. In this context we are exploring the possibility of a new subspecialty of radiology emerging supported by music.”
